The hörbert team would like to thank their loyal hörbert customer Richard S. very much for providing the photo and accompanying story.

We’re happy to share with you what Richard told us:

For our daughter’s third birthday, we gave her a hörbert because this brilliant MP3 player has already proved itself with our son.
This time though, I fancied having a go at building something myself and built the case myself. This was easily possible, thanks to the option of purchasing an electronics kit (and I’m not the first with a
DIY project, as you can impressively see on your website).

The case was made from ash wood and glued with hand-sawn dovetail joints.

The front consists of thin plywood, which I covered with linoleum. For the carrying handle I used cotton webbing.

On the whole though, I kept to the original hörbert in terms of appearance and basic dimensions.
