Listening is a key competence that children need not only for their daily life, but also for their entire life. In early childhood education, listening lays the foundation for language development, imagination and social skills. Stories, songs and sounds stimulate the imagination, promote language skills and convey values in a playful way.
The analogue-operated and robust wooden MP3 player hörbert from HMC has established itself as a faithful companion for children – both in families and in nurseries. Now hörbert is expanding its offering with new audio content that has been specially developed for the needs of children and for work in nurseries. Audio content for every situation
hörbert manufacturer HMC focuses on high quality with its product hörbert. And not only with the playback device. The new audio content from hörbert offers a mixture of music, stories, audio plays and sound worlds, which have been carefully selected to promote children in an age-appropriate way. Besides joy and entertainment, they focus on language promotion, knowledge transfer and cultural diversity.

With the memory card edition « KITA & CO« , the manufacturer offers a 4-hour repertoire specially tailored for use in nurseries. Ready-to-play content has been compiled from 11 albums from the well-known series « The 30 best… ». Important knowledge is conveyed in a playful way, such as the question of the right choice of clothes in the morning so that you can be seen well in road traffic. Or that it’s lovely that every child is different and diversity is valued. Besides play and movement songs, seasonal songs, the most popular nursery classics and new nursery hits, birthday songs, children’s disco songs and well-known songs in English, there are also adventure stories and four dream journeys for relaxation: meditative stories with which the children come to rest.
The memory card edition « Ohrenflausen » was created in collaboration with the Pforzheim Verlag für Eingemachtes. According to owner Tanja Deutsch, the publishing house places great value on mindfully produced, good music and audiobooks. So the edition contains ten of the publishing house’s own productions for children between 3 and 12 years old. The audiobooks and audio plays work through themes such as environmental responsibility, learning to read the clock, friendship and tolerance, language competence and also complex experiences such as parental separation and life in a blended family in a child-friendly way. Where do dreams come from? The Duwaddiwaddi stories from the Sandman School answer this question as part of a funny reinterpretation of the classic Sandman legend. The sound detectives investigate the secrets of forest sounds and the happenings on a construction site, thus supporting hearing development. The repertoire is rounded off with well-known English favourite songs and three sound tents, original compositions made from natural and electronic sounds, which act like a protective tent against irregular noise, so that children can concentrate completely on a (home)task to be mastered or simply relax in free play.
